Emergency Management Director Dona Greiner briefed the board on updates to the Emergency Operations Plan and the County’s Continuity of Operations manual. Greiner reported that Chief Deputy John Maatz and Sheriff Mark Brown took the Oath of Office to serve as Emergency Manager and Deputy Manager; the board approved those appointments to be effective December 10.
The motion to appoint Maatz as Emergency Management Director and Brown as Deputy Emergency Director was moved by Commissioner Klages, seconded by Commissioner Thyne and carried unanimously. The record shows the appointments are contingent only on the effective date noted in the minutes and no additional conditions were recorded.
