City Manager Greer delivered the manager's monthly report for July, summarizing activity across public safety, economic development and parks. Greer said the city hired Wilson Butler Architecture and subconsultants to help with conceptual planning for a performing arts facility in the 500–1,000 seat range and that community interviews and input sessions are tentatively scheduled for the second week of September.
Greer also reported that the new ambulance service agreement, which includes priority posting and standardized deployment levels, met target response times for July; the police department received advanced accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies; and staff launched a small‑business survey with responses from just over 60 businesses to inform a new Johns Creek Business 1st expansion and recruitment program.
Greer highlighted recreation and parks coverage: local and national attention for the dog park and Archer Mill Nature Preserve being considered in a best‑of‑Georgia category. Greer said transportation projects continued, including stream restoration, trail work and progress with a county intergovernmental agreement to move McGinnis Ferry Road toward construction.
