Board approves $1.35 million in vouchers, hears Red Bud Trail plaque presentation and discusses data center regulations

During public comment Ruth Holliday of the Andover/Augusta Rail Trail Initiative presented a plaque of appreciation and said, "since January 1st to May 31st of this year 51,941 people have used the trail." Administrator Will Johnson confirmed he has a list of potential members for an Eastern Red Cedar task force but said there was nothing official yet. Johnson also presented draft Data Center Regulations for Board review and discussed potential fee increases for Conditional Use Permits for data centers, wind farms and solar farms. Public works updates included planned chip sealing starting Monday, completion of lights at a Meadowlark/150th intersection, and a utility-location conflict delaying work at SW Ohio St. and SW 20th St. County Counselor Terrence Huelskamp asked commissioners to confirm watermarks on their regulation drafts. The meeting adjourned at 10:10 a.m.
