The South Bend City Council approved its meeting agenda, the consent agenda and the minutes of its Feb. 24, 2025 regular meeting following a motion by Councilor Corcoran. The motion passed with the recorded tally Ayes-5, Noes-0, Absent-0.
The consent agenda included vendor checks #49533 through #49571 totaling $251,259.03, including electronic funds transfers. Later in the meeting Councilor Corcoran moved to approve a Memorandum of Understanding that adjusts the rate to use the local transfer station; that motion also carried with the same recorded vote tally. The minutes report that discussion preceded the MOU vote but do not provide further detail on rate levels or counterparties.
The council meeting was called to order by Mayor Julie Struck at 5:30 p.m.; Fire Chief McGee was excused. The council is scheduled to meet next on Monday, March 24, 2025, at South Bend City Hall.
