County Approves Pipeline, Crack-sealing and Preservation Contracts; Engineer Says Work Underway

Commissioners approved a $78,868 proposal from Price Road Boring Inc. for a pipeline project on County Road 26 and a $67,638 contract with Remac Incorporated for crack sealing on Canyon Road 30 and Mountain View Road; Clay said the reclamite preservation on Canyon Road 42 should extend the pavement life by approximately five years.
Clay said the paving crew is also finishing surface treatment on Camp Road and preparing the Kelly Creek Road base ahead of a federal-aid letting. Members thanked Clay for the planning and noted that many of the projects rely on federal matches and correct sequencing of preservation treatments to preserve eligibility for future funding. “That should be done this week,” Clay said of the Kelly Creek work, and commissioners moved each contract forward by voice vote.
