TxDOT HSIP sidewalk project along Bee Cave Parkway on track for December letting, staff says

Christopher Baker briefed the board on the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) sidewalk and pedestrian enhancement project that the city is delivering in coordination with TxDOT.
Baker said the 90% plans were submitted to TxDOT about a week ago and that the project "has to be let in December, and everything is on track right now." He noted coordination with the PUA (public-utility authority) because of existing water infrastructure and said staff is awaiting initial TxDOT comments to address in the final design.
Baker reported no schedule delays or cost increases at the time of the update and said staff remains on track to meet the letting schedule. Directors did not take action on the report; Baker indicated staff will update the board if comments from TxDOT require changes to schedule or scope.
