Councilors raised several community and administrative items during reports. One council member asked staff whether the city website redesign could avoid irrelevant stock images and replace defaults with local photos. “Could we use ones that there aren't stock ones?” the council member asked, noting an unrelated sailing photo and default cat images had appeared on the site.
City staff responded that the redesign has been approved and the migration is about two months away; they asked councilors to forward corrections so the new site can incorporate accurate images and content during the migration window. Separately, councilors and staff reminded the public of a skate park ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. on Thursday and a Red Cross blood drive on Oct. 30 in the EOC, encouraging residents to attend and to register for donations.
Staff said they will accept suggested corrections to the current site so they can be incorporated into the new build before it goes live.
