Valerie Flattes was elected Chair of the South Salt Lake Civilian Review Board at the board’s regular meeting on March 2, 2026. Board Member Flattes volunteered for the position and was confirmed by a voice vote of board members present.
The board also approved the 4th Quarter Report and the 2025 Annual Report by voice vote during the meeting. Members thanked outgoing Board Chair Joy Glad for her service; Glad, who was present during citizen comments, recently joined the City Council. The board adjourned after a closed-door session and formal motions were recorded in the minutes.
