Council proclaims Oct. 4–12 Weber State Homecoming Week; alumni president accepts

The council approved a proclamation declaring Oct. 4–12, 2024, Weber State University Homecoming Week in South Ogden and presented the document to Matt Dixon, president of the Weber State Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Mayor said the proclamation encourages residents and businesses to show Wildcat pride. Matt Dixon came forward to accept the proclamation and thanked the council. “On behalf of the alumni associates,” Dixon said as he received the proclamation; he also said he would forward a photo of the council action to Weber State leadership.
Councilors and the mayor noted Weber State’s role in the community and encouraged residents to participate in homecoming activities.
