Work session roundup: Council sets follow-ups on fees, capital projects and code enforcement
Summary

At the Sept. 3 South Austin work session, the council discussed a range of operational and planning priorities and set several near-term follow-ups for staff.
Key directions included: staff will benchmark fees (including dog licensing) against peer cities and return with adjustment recommendations; staff will revise ordinance language to clarify which services may be terminated for nonpayment; finance staff will provide regular impact-fee updates and department capital-equipment lists tied to the sustainability model; and staff will present sidewalk cost options and RAMP/grant priorities for an October work session. The council also heard updates on parks, sewer and street work and on pending economic-development and planning actions.
Chair closed the work session with a motion to adjourn and the council approved the motion by voice vote. Several agenda items will return to future work sessions or the next regular meeting for formal action.
