South Cle Elum adopts records index ordinance and public-records fee schedule

The South Cle Elum Town Council adopted Ordinance No. 667 on March 3, amending Chapter Two (Personnel and Administration) to establish a town index of records, and adopted Resolution 3/3/2026, a Public Records Act Policy and Fee Schedule.
Mayor DeVere read Ordinance No. 667 and the ordinance was adopted following a motion by Councilmember Allenbaugh, seconded by Councilmember McGuire. For the resolution on records requests and fees, Allenbaugh again moved adoption, Sandretto seconded, and the measure passed by majority vote. Councilmember Ditsworth recused herself from discussion of both items, as recorded in the minutes.
The clerk raised a separate records-management item earlier in the meeting: Luanne asked whether the Council would be interested in having the Washington State Archives center in Ellensburg review the Town’s old financial records and minutes; the council voted to move forward with that discussion after the town attorney investigates legal aspects.
The adopted ordinance and resolution appear on the meeting record as passed by majority vote; the minutes do not quote ordinance text beyond the stated subject of a town records index.
