Vice Chair Brian Green moved to approve the Oct. 17, 2024 meeting minutes; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote with all present voting aye. The procedural motion closed the consent item and the commission moved on to substantive discussion items.
The meeting concluded with a substantive discussion of committee formation for the comprehensive-plan review. Vice Chair Green proposed an Excel-based prioritized matrix to sequence committee work (near-term priorities, timelines, and committee leads). Commissioners agreed the immediate focus should be two major tracks—comprehensive plan review and a zoning rewrite—with subcommittees (housing, parks and recreation, capital projects) to be populated after staff provides a proposed schedule.
Chair asked staff to share the committee matrix with the commission and the public; staff agreed to devise the scope and timeline and to meet with the chair and vice chair to finalize a short-term schedule. The commission then moved to adjourn and voted unanimously to adjourn early.
