Director Summer Wilkes described a three‑part coordination approach: monitoring the county's five‑year update, tracking county CPAM items that specifically mention Purcellville, and establishing a protocol to cross‑fertilize county analysis into the town’s review. She identified county staff contacts and packet pages that list policies and implementation matrices relevant to Purcellville.
"Loudoun County is conducting its 5 year review," Wilkes said, and she recommended the commission treat the county’s work as a source of studies and analyses that Purcellville can use to avoid duplicate work and to identify policy threats and opportunities. Commissioners agreed to several work sessions over coming months focused on the interface with the county and asked staff to flag county policies that could affect the town’s sovereignty or comprehensive-plan recommendations.
