Director Mary Kay Wirth presented her monthly activities, including the ECI monthly fiscal tracking spreadsheet (due May 31, 2026), a list of meetings attended, a State ECI Board report from May 1, 2026, and a legislative update. She reported that all preschools with scholarships had received a site visit.
Wirth also reported that there have been no applicants for the Clinton/Jackson director position. The Executive Committee met with ECI directors and executive committees from other areas and recommended pursuing work with the Dubuque ECI area; the state ECI recommended merging and will provide technical assistance. The board discussed partnering or merging options and the boundary-change process (Tool U).
