Several commissioners pushed back on the proposed breadth, asking whether the item was intended as a limited statutory review or a wide-ranging rewrite. One commissioner urged caution, noting the town already adopted a 2030 plan in 2020 and saying, "we're supposed to be just in a review." Staff and commissioners acknowledged both legal obligations to review and the opportunity to use updated census data and new state requirements (including manufactured housing guidance) to inform whether a broader approach is warranted.
