Board approves CSAH 18 ROW plat required for Toqua Park grant; chair abstains

County Engineer Jorden Roggenbuck told the Big Stone County Board that the Toqua Park grant requires a deed restriction and, to meet that requirement, a new CSAH 18 right‑of‑way (ROW) plat must be completed.
The board approved preparing the new ROW plat to satisfy the grant condition. The motion was moved by Commissioner Athey and seconded by Commissioner Klages and passed with Commissioners Athey, Thyne, Radermacher and Klages voting yes; Chairman Chad Zimmel recorded an abstention.
The approval authorizes county staff and the engineer to proceed with the platting process; the board also requested an update on the Toqua Park project during the subsequent work session. No contractor or cost estimate for the platting work was specified in the meeting record.
