Council approves amendment to subdivision improvement assurances (Ordinance 2025-01)

The South Weber City Council unanimously approved Ordinance 2025-01 on Jan. 14 to amend City Code 11-8-3 (Improvements Completion Assurance and Guarantee of Performance). Councilwoman Angie Petty moved for approval and Councilman Joel Dills seconded; all five council members voted in favor.
City staff described the ordinance as modifying the required forms of subdivision improvement guarantees. The council recorded a roll-call vote in which Council Members Jeremy Davis, Joel Dills, Blair Halverson, Angie Petty and Wayne Winsor voted aye.
The ordinance will change the mechanics of how developers provide assurances for subdivision improvements; staff will implement the updated form requirements through standard permitting and plat processes.
