Board hears midyear budget and plans finance software transition

District finance staff presented a midyear budget report and operational updates during the Feb. 11 meeting. Presenter Jake Sawyer told trustees that "58% of the year has gone by" and walked through revenues and expenses as of Jan. 31; the transcript contains an approximate revenue figure referenced during the presentation.
Sawyer also explained the district will transition its finance software from TES to KeV, with a planned rollout by late March or April; the change is intended to be as seamless as possible though staff expect some initial bugs. Trustees asked questions about how the transition will be managed and Jake said the district will conduct midyear reviews with directors to confirm there are no major issues before year-end.
The board moved to accept the budget report by voice vote. Staff will continue midyear budget checks and communicate any adjustments.
