Jake (speaker 5) gave a capital-project update: playground and restroom remodels are complete, the new wrestling room has been handed over and is in use, and the shops are nearing completion with finishing electrical work and a dust-collector installation remaining. He said about $385,000 remained on the shops project and a Thursday walkthrough will produce a punch list.
Jake said the district ordered a new competition wrestling mat that was backordered (approximately 28 weeks from the May/June order) and is expected in January; the team will use practice mats until then. He added that final plans for elementary additions were expected to be delivered to the district by the end of the week and that the design team and engineers are coordinating HVAC, structural and civil plans.
Board members discussed walk-through timing, the transition of responsibility once contractors walk off the site, and next steps for elementary planning. The board was told capital payments would slow going forward after the current cluster of disbursements.
