Anthony Smith, a resident whose property backs up to Premier Soccer Fields, addressed council during public comment about repeated weekend disturbances at the facility.
Smith said the noise and behavior have a direct impact on his household, including a family member with health needs: "The music was so loud ... it was rattling the windows in my house," he told council. He reported repeated calls to police and code enforcement about loud music, drinking in the parking lot, trash and vehicles speeding when events let out. Smith said he encountered dismissive responses from field staff and expressed frustration that enforcement responsibilities seem uncoordinated between police and code enforcement.
Council thanked Smith for bringing the matter to the meeting and said staff (police and operations) would follow up with a plan and contact information to pursue enforcement and mitigation options.
