Cedar Park expands 2026 road resurfacing scope with $519,206 change order; no extra funding required

Morgan Huddleston of Engineering and Capital Projects presented a proposed change order to the 2026 Neighborhood Road resurfacing project. The project—funded through the 2022 bond program and annual maintenance funds—was originally awarded to Lone Star Paving in an amount not to exceed $2,210,484. Favorable bids allowed staff to propose adding resurfacing on additional streets in several subdivisions using remaining project funds.
Huddleston recommended authorizing a change order not to exceed $519,206 to mill and overlay streets in the Cedar Park Square and other areas; she said additional funding will not be required. Council moved, seconded and approved the change order, and staff will proceed with the expanded scope.
