Local pastor urges continued investment in police training and screening during public comment

And I certainly say thank you to you, for you've been one of the ones working the hardest at that," Brandenburg said, and she urged commissioners to ensure the department has the right funding to recruit and train staff so that the community remains safe and incidents do not become the kind of stories people watch on television. The chair thanked Reverend Brandenburg for her comments; no formal action resulted from the public comment period.
