Brownsburg EDC says incentives helped spur 2025 growth along Ronald Reagan Parkway

Ethan, a staff member who presented the 2025 Economic Development annual report to the Town of Brownsburg Economic Development Commission, said the town’s incentives helped attract industrial development along the Ronald Reagan Parkway and emphasized the longer‑term tax benefits.
"That's the only thing I really wanted to highlight," Ethan said, adding that the development around the Ronald Reagan Parkway between I‑74 and County Road 400 North included eight industrial buildings constructed since about 2020. "Even when an incentive is involved, the long term benefit to the town to help bring those new businesses into the community."
Ethan told commissioners that before those buildings were constructed the corridor brought in about $20,000 in property tax revenue per year; in 2025 that area had an estimated combined property tax bill of roughly $855,000. He cautioned that some 2025 figures for very recent large projects remain estimates because several projects were not yet operational.
The Commission did not vote on policy changes tied to the report at the meeting; Ethan said compliance reports for active tax abatements are reviewed and presented to Town Council as part of an annual process.
