City manager Hugh provided a status update on multiple capital projects and community events.
Hugh said the Coulter Airfield parking‑apron work is close to completion, Midtown Park boardwalk has a few punch‑list items and the Midtown Park spillway was graded to final grade. Oakmont lift station underground sewer components and gravity/force main work are complete and BTU is installing electrical components. A signal on FM 2818 will be installed next week as part of the Mumford Road widening project.
Hugh also highlighted community programming: a dive‑in movie at the Bryan Aquatic Center on July 17 (admission fees specified) and the Texas Amateur Athletic Festival July 30–Aug 2 hosted across venues in Bryan and College Station. He offered condolences on two recent community deaths and asked the public to check the city calendar for more information.
Next steps: staff continue punch‑list and final installations, coordinate openings, and publish event details on the city website calendar.
