Nate explained the proposed model charges based on hours spent in the field — broken down into per-hour, half-day and full-day rates — calculated from a standard work-year and factoring in compensation, benefits, vehicle/fleet overhead, fuel and technology. "What we were able to get that down to using a standard 40 hour work week... was a per hour figure," he said, and staff described a true-up process if estimated inspector time differs from final recorded time in the field. Council did not take action tonight; staff requested written feedback before the next meeting.
