City manager outlines $827,000 general-fund gap and a draft master drainage plan

He said workshops so far have gone smoothly and council may decide whether a separate budget retreat is needed.
On infrastructure, the manager previewed a draft master drainage plan that lists 11 to 12 projects focused on highly flood-prone areas and said the package will be presented to council for approval before staff begins applying for outside funding. He warned the city will need to pursue funding after council signs off so the projects can move from planning into construction.
