Grand Prairie schedules Jan. 31 special election for City Council Place 8

A Staff member for the City of Grand Prairie announced a special election for City Council Place 8 on Saturday, January 31 to fill an at-large vacancy created by a recent departure from office. The winner will serve the remainder of the three-year term, which, the announcement said, ends in May 2027.
The staff announcement named five candidates who will appear on the ballot: Rodney Anderson, Anna Coco, Mary Domingo Santini, Amber Lucky and Michelle Madden. Early voting will begin January 14 and run January 14–16, then resume January 20–27, the city said. The special election is open to all registered voters who are residents of Grand Prairie, and voting locations will be available in Dallas, Tarrant and Ellis counties.
