Neighbors urge enforcement after pool slide, auxiliary buildings cited near property line

Gary Laney, a resident of 720 Ridge Drive, and Kondruzza Boggs of 680 Ridge Drive told the Alpine City Council they believe structures at 715 Ridgecrest Court violate setback rules and accessory-building limits.
Laney said he reported the construction to city staff and was told it would be addressed, but that follow-up never occurred: "The slide... [is] virtually 13 inches" from his fence, he said. Boggs described three compliance concerns — an ancillary building nearly one-third the size of the primary home, a pool structure closer than the 15-foot rear-yard setback for accessory buildings, and a slide that she said effectively eliminates privacy for her master bedroom — and requested that the city pursue administrative or civil action to bring the property into compliance.
