The Hutto City Council unanimously approved Resolution R-2026-114 to order a runoff election for Council Place 1 on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The resolution designates precincts, polling places, and authorizes early voting as required by the joint election contract with Williamson County.
City Secretary Laura Hallmark told the council that early voting will run from June 1 through June 9 and that Election Day voting will occur in the chambers while early voting will be held at City Hall in the library meeting room. “Election Day is Saturday, June 13. Early voting will run June 1 through June 9,” Hallmark said, and she thanked Library Director Kristen Phillips for accommodating the early-voting schedule. Council members clarified that early voting would be closed on Sunday and that Saturday hours would be adjusted (8 a.m.–12 p.m.) to reflect expected lower turnout for the runoff. The motion to call the runoff was moved, seconded and approved 7–0.
The resolution follows the city’s joint election contract with Williamson County; Hallmark advised that the contract covers routine election administration tasks and that calling the runoff is a procedural necessity.
