Commissioners discussed traffic and signage issues reported at the new Buc‑ee’s site during reports and calendar review. A commissioner said the business has not received all signage and that customers have experienced difficulty exiting the site.
Planning staff said pavement markings required by the approved sign plan were implemented and that the city is coordinating with ODOT to improve signage on westbound I‑70 and to tweak signal timing to address weekend queuing. Staff said the problems have been most noticeable on weekends and that they expect the team and ODOT to make iterative adjustments over the next few weeks.
