A city staff member announced that the City of Grand Prairie has called a special election for Saturday, Jan. 31 to fill the at-large Place 8 vacancy on the City Council. "The winning candidate will serve the remainder of the 3 year term which ends in May 2027," the staff member said.
The staff member named five candidates: Rodney Anderson; Anna Coco; Mary Dominguez Santini; Amber Lucky; and Michelle Madden. Early voting will be available Jan. 14–16 and Jan. 20–27, and the special election is open to all registered voters who are residents of Grand Prairie. Voting locations will be provided in Dallas, Tarrant and Ellis counties.
