The City of Grand Prairie announced a special election for City Council Place 8 to fill an unexpired term. "The city of Grand Prairie has called a special election on Saturday, January 31 to fill the city council place 8 at large vacancy," a city staff member said. The office will be filled for the remainder of the three-year term, which ends in May 2027.
Five candidates are listed for the contest: Rodney Anderson, Anna Coco, Mary Domingo Santini, Amber Lucky and Michelle Madden. Early voting will be available Jan. 14–16 and Jan. 20–27, and polling locations will be open to registered Grand Prairie voters in Dallas, Tarrant and Ellis counties.
