City to seek bids to close Charles Gate Road gap; project estimated at $400K–$500K

"This is construction of a new... 445 feet long road, and it makes a full connection of Charles Gate Road..." the engineer said. Staff estimated the project cost at approximately $400,000 to $500,000 and indicated bidding would start soon with construction expected in summer or fall once a contractor is selected. Council thanked staff and the property owner for cooperation; staff emphasized the project’s importance to nearby residents.
Next steps: staff will advertise and return to council with the recommended award after bids are opened.
