Huber Heights senior center thanks council for accessibility, services; membership near 700

Kenneth (Ken) Herstein, president of the Huber Heights Senior Center, used the council meeting to thank city staff and council for recent facility upgrades that support accessibility and programming.
"You guys put the handicap ramp in at the Grama Hall...we usually have about a 100 people show up for that," Herstein said, noting the center received a water fill station and a new computer for the treasurer. He also thanked city employees for assembling 50 new chairs for activity spaces. Herstein said the center counts about 700 members and expects to reach 800 by year’s end.
Council members praised the partnership and encouraged eligible residents to tour the facility. The mayor and other council members described the senior center as a growing community asset and highlighted collaborative events with the YMCA and volunteer support from staff.
