Board approves Ivory Development water-right reconciliation for Sagewood phases

The board approved a staff-recommended reconciliation of water-right requirements for Ivory Development's Sagewood Phases 1—5, including Sagewood Gardens 1 and 2.
Staff said that applying the district's water-duty calculations for the developer's water-wise landscaping reduced the required water right from about 420 acre-feet to 377 acre-feet. "They have implemented a water-wise landscape on their lots... we were able to apply our water duty requirements and reduce their water right requirements from, like, 420 acre feet to 377 acre feet," the general manager said. Staff noted the developer remained short by a small amount (about 2.605 units shown in the reconciliation) and will make up the remainder.
A board member moved to approve the reconciliation; another board member seconded, and the motion passed with the board voting "Aye." The board recorded the action as an approved reconciliation; no additional conditions were noted on the record.
