Resident asks Stansbury Park board to annex lot surrounding Well 1 for future water and sewer connections

Craig Smith, a Bozinas Ranch resident, asked the Stansbury Park Improvement District board on Oct. 21 to allow his property to annex into the district so he can access additional water and sewer hookups if needed in the future. "My property makes a horseshoe around Number 1 Well," Smith told the board, and he said he wants "1 additional water connection and 2 sewer connections" as the new sewer line will cross his parcel.
Board members discussed whether to require immediate annexation or to delay annexation until a larger adjacent area joins the district. Smith said he is not planning to use the hookups right away but wants the stubs installed in case his septic fails or he later builds an accessory dwelling unit. He said engineers could decide whether to provide "two 4-inch stub outs or one 6-inch" for future use. The board signaled no opposition to considering the petition and the Chair said staff would place the request on the next meeting agenda for formal action.
