Council authorizes eminent domain for CR199 reconstruction, approves Parks Foundation amendment
Summary

Following executive session, the Hutto City Council took two administrative actions. First, the city attorney requested and council authorized filing an amendment to the documents establishing the Hutto Parks Foundation so the nonprofit could serve as the city's nonprofit sponsor for a special event. The motion carried 7–0.
Second, council considered Resolution R‑2026‑111 authorizing acquisition of a real‑property interest as part of the CR199 reconstruction project (Parcel 2) and authorizing the use of eminent domain if necessary. The presiding officer moved the resolution and the council voted 7–0 to authorize staff and legal to pursue acquisition, including condemnation if required, to support the CIP project.
