YMCA official: pools pressure-washed, aiming to open aquatic center May 23; hiring ~80 guards

The presenter also listed scheduled community events and programs, including the World's Largest Swimming Lesson on June 25 (9 a.m.–11:15 a.m.), Healthy Kids Day at Riverscape Metropark on May 9 (noon–4 p.m.), a swim clinic on May 9 and a summer playground program beginning the first week of June at Schall Park.
Season passes are on sale and discounted through May 22, the presenter said, and additional Y programming for youth sports and wellness pilot programs will run this summer. The presenter invited board questions about readiness and staffing; none altered the planned May 23 public opening date.
