Staff presented a request from the owner of 109 Barnett Boulevard to amend a concept plan originally approved in 2005 so the parcel can be developed as three buildings. Autumn Amen said the property was replatted into two lots under different ownership and that this is the final undeveloped piece in the Barnett Center; the amendment would establish a general framework allowing the owner to later submit site plans.
Commissioners questioned whether the exhibits specified square footages and how the new layout would affect parking and connections; staff explained concept plans are intentionally flexible and that specific building sizes, parking calculations and required trail connections will be reviewed at site-plan submittal. A motion to recommend approval as submitted passed unanimously and the item will be forwarded to City Council.
