The Vernon County Board adopted Resolution 2023-75 approving a three-year collective bargaining agreement with the Wisconsin Professional Police Association covering Jan. 1, 2024 through Dec. 31, 2026.
Administrative Coordinator Cassie Hanan summarized that the General Government Committee negotiated the settlement and recommended board approval; Sheriff Roy Torgerson expressed appreciation for the committee’s work and asked for support. The resolution modifies the salary schedule and increases the night shift differential from $0.35 to $0.50 per hour. The resolution passed on a voice vote.
