Durbin House ribbon cutting set for tomorrow; Recreation and Parks Month events continue

Recreation and parks staff told council that the Durbin House renovation is complete and a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow at 3 p.m., with the public invited to tour at 4 p.m. and enjoy music and refreshments.
Miss Gruber highlighted Recreation and Parks Month activities across the city and said more than 100 people attended a themed event earlier in the month. "Tomorrow is our ribbon cutting at the Durbin House... the public is invited to join us at 4 p.m. to tour the house, listen to some great live music, and enjoy... watermelon, apple pie a la mode, and hot dogs," she said.
Staff also announced an Adaptive Recreation Parkpalooza on Friday, July 31 for adults (18+) with special needs, running from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., including a talent show, games and socialization activities. Council thanked staff and encouraged public attendance.
