Summary
At the June meeting the commission approved the consent calendar (unanimous), a special-event permit for the La Habra Host Lions Club (4–0), and Tentative Tract Map 19436 (3–2); Chair Ramsland recused from the first hearing and several commissioners expressed concern about the applicant’s absence for the tract map.
The La Habra Planning Commission took the following actions: the consent calendar (including minutes) was approved unanimously; the La Habra Host Lions Club’s special-event permit (Resolution No. 26‑10, SEP2L26‑0004) for the 77th annual corn festival and parade was approved 4–0; and Resolution No. 26‑11 adopting Tentative Tract Map No. 19436 (431 West Lambert Road) was approved by a 3–2 vote after debate about timing and the applicant’s absence.
Clerk staff noted that both the special-event permit and the tract‑map decision will become final in 10 working days unless appealed to the city council. The clerk and staff also said they would correct a discrepancy in the vote-display to reflect the accurate recorded votes.
