WRD advances right-of-way and grant steps for Bridge 55 on Nelson Drain No. 28
Summary

Engineer Andrew Smith told the board the purchase agreement with Susan Bell for the necessary right-of-way for Bridge 55 on Nelson Drain No. 28 has been sent and is awaiting signatures. Moore is coordinating a contractor quote and will submit an application to the North Dakota Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture Infrastructure Grant Program once the quote is received; Moore is also coordinating with Riverview to avoid duplicate improvements appearing on applications.
Board members discussed the Joint Powers Agreement with Herberg Township and Riverview and noted that, per earlier discussions, the Township agreed it would enter into a separate agreement directly with Riverview to resolve reimbursement concerns under the three-party arrangement. No vote was taken at the Feb. 3 meeting on Bridge 55 funding.
