Renville County approves routine business: printer purchase, minutes, payroll time payout

During its Feb. 4 session the Renville County Board handled routine administrative items including approving the purchase of a printer for the Recorder/Clerk of Court offices, approving the January 2025 minutes, and authorizing payout of 51.72 hours of vacation and 45 hours of compensation time to Chad Schmidt (hours accrued in 2024).
Bethany Gates invited the commissioners to the annual Ag Show on Feb. 5 at MLS School. Sheriff Roger Hutchinson met with the board and discussed several bills currently in the legislature; the minutes note the discussion but do not list specific bill numbers. The board also reviewed correspondence addressed to its attention.
The motions to approve the printer purchase and the minutes were recorded as moved and seconded (motions carried by unanimous vote). The payout of accrued time to Chad Schmidt was similarly approved and recorded. The meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
