County Sheriff Roger Hutchinson told the Board on Nov. 7 that two vehicles in the impound lot could be sold or scrapped and that he will complete the necessary paperwork to dispose of them. Hutchinson also reported he had been accepted into Firearms Instructor School.
The Board approved a motion (moved by Commissioner Andy Gates, seconded by Commissioner Jamee Hansen) to sell, on bids, a 2009 Arctic Cat Prowler UTV; the motion carried by unanimous vote. The minutes do not specify minimum bid, reserve, or scheduled sale date; the Sheriff was directed to prepare disposal paperwork for the impounded vehicles.
No other enforcement actions or forfeitures were recorded in the minutes. The Recorders and Auditor’s office will track surplus sale proceeds in accordance with county procedure.
