County staff report proposals for Vernon Manor feasibility study, wage study progress and dam decommissioning talks

Administrative Coordinator Cassandra Hanan updated the Board on several county initiatives during the Feb. 15 meeting. Staff received four proposals in response to an RFP for a feasibility study for Vernon Manor and Vernon Acres; McGrath is finalizing data for a county wage study with department head meetings planned; the Kayla Fortney case was delayed until April; the Planning Commission completed its initial meeting; and county staff have begun discussions about decommissioning flood-control dams.
Hanan’s report did not include contract awards or detailed timelines for the feasibility study; staff noted that any proposed changes emerging from the wage study will be considered by the General Government Committee before coming to the full Board. Board members did not take formal action on these items at the meeting beyond receiving the updates and noting items for the March agenda.
