Administrative Coordinator Cassandra Hanan briefed the Board on several administrative items. She said officials continue work on a possible management agreement for Vernon Manor/Vernon Acres and that a physical plant assessment is complete and the report is expected this week. She reported the costing for a wage study is complete and a draft pay scale will go first to the General Government Committee, then to Finance, and to the full Board next month.
Hanan said a CPA was contracted to assist the finance department while the county searches for a Finance Director and that cash has not been reconciled for all of 2023; "it is hoped that the audit can be completed by September," the minutes record. She also noted Vernon County was one of 14 projects selected to be highlighted at a session of the International Association of Chiefs of Police for its 2023 Rural Violent Crime Initiative grant of $200,000.
