Rolette County commissioners approved two road-related purchases on March 18: a $20,000 gravel trailer from Even's Trucking and a $1,235.08 repair to the St. John shop door by Prouty Remodeling and Garage. Commissioner Abrahamson moved to purchase the trailer and later moved to award the door repair; both motions passed unanimously on roll call.
The meeting record notes the trailer "will need new brakes at about $1000." The board also discussed a separate road concern on 107th where Commissioner LaRocque said culverts may not have been installed correctly and suggested temporary safety signage; Sheriff Gustafson and Commissioner Abrahamson agreed signage or flags should be placed if the problem cannot be immediately repaired.
