Board approves health department plan, program name change, dispatch pay step and Motorola service renewal
Summary
On Feb. 11, 2025, the Ionia County Board approved the Health Department’s Plan of Organization, renamed a county abuse initiative to Ionia County Hope and Recovery, approved a payroll step for the Dispatch Supervisor, and renewed the county’s Motorola service agreement; several votes included recorded dissents.
The board approved several organizational and contract items during new business. Interim Administrator Chad Shaw presented the Ionia County Health Department’s Plan of Organization and the board approved it by voice vote. The board also approved renaming the Ionia County Abuse Initiative to Ionia County Hope and Recovery; Commissioner Gordon Kelley dissented on that motion.
Central Dispatch Director Lance Langdon recommended a payroll step increase for the Dispatch Supervisor and presented a renewal of the Motorola Service Agreement; both items were approved by voice vote, with Commissioner Phil Hesche recorded as dissenting on each. The minutes do not record roll-call tallies for these approvals.
