County renews more than $3.2 million in certificates of deposit

At 9:10 a.m. Treasurer Jessica Niemitalo met with the Board to review certificate of deposit (CD) renewals. The Board approved the renewal of CDs totaling $3,207,927.83 with Liberty State Bank for 12 months and two additional CDs with Bravera Bank for $100,000 and $248,103.82 for 12 months.
The motion to renew the CDs passed on a roll call vote with Commissioners Ruland, Rice, Olson, Hollekim and DeGroot recorded as voting yes. The Treasurer noted the funds, balances and that the renewals are for 12‑month terms; the Board accepted the Treasurer’s recommendation.
